Transitions begin with endings. Endings may include relationships, jobs, education or death. At different times in our lives we may feel separate from other people. This is a time of emotional reorganizing. Most of us do not welcome change. However, working through challenging and emotionally difficult times to achieve an overall sense of well being is possible. In a comfortable, accepting therapeutic environment growth is probable.

Approach to Therapy:

I have a diverse psychotherapy practice, relating well to children, teens, and adults through warmth and acceptance. My approach to psychotherapy is to use my skills to help people develop inner resilience, and the self confidence to direct their own lives.

Education:

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed by the state of Missouri, and I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from St. Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Webster University.

Experience:

I have worked in the social service field for over a decade assisting individuals and families overcome barriers to success. I am skilled in both individual and family therapy. In addition to private practice, my experience includes hospice work addressing psychosocial needs of patients and families. I relate well to those experiencing unresolved trauma, grief/loss (divorce, jobs, school, relationships, death), depression, substance abuse issues and life transitions. I am skilled in helping individuals and families explore interracial and intercultural relationships and adjustment issues.
