Helen is an Adjunct Professor at Lindenwood University currently working as a Site Supervisor for Interns, Graduate Studies–Counseling Program.

Helen uses the traditional cognitive-behavioral approach. This approach is based on scientific principle and shown to be effective for a wide range of life challenges. The focus of the approach is on the present, while identifying and understanding problems in terms of the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behavior.

In addition to the traditional cognitive-behavioral approach, Helen has extensive training in self-identity and relationship development. Helen incorporates processes such as, the Enneagram, EMDR, Clinical Hypnotherapy, The Sedona Method, and re-evaluation of earlier established neuronal patterns based on the work of Dr. Susan Vaughan as well as the couples work of Dr. Sue Johnson.

Helen also incorporates the Feminist Theory which despite its name believes in the empowerment of the individual both female and male. Recognizing and engaging the power within enables the individual to find what is enlivening. Knowing what is enlivening acts as a catalyst to live the enlivened life. The individual recognizes their own power of responsibility to develop and live in their individual natural uniqueness, finding their bliss.
