V. David Weiss, M.S., LPC
Education:
Bachelors Degree from Lindenwood University and
Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Missouri Baptist University
Experience:
My solid academic background and wealth of broad-based life experience have allowed me
to serve a diverse client base with a wide range of emotional, relational, and spiritual problems.
Currently my practice includes men, women, and couples that are experiencing:
anxiety
depression
grief/loss
low self esteem
life transition issues
relationship problems
anger management issues
family violence
sexual/physical abuse
In addition to my private practice, I have extensive experience working with men who have
been physically or emotionally abusive in their relationships. I encourage men participating
in a Batterers Intervention Program to supplement that group support with individual counseling.
I also organize topical and personal growth men’s groups from time to time. If you are
interested in participating in a future group, please contact me to see what groups are
currently forming.
Counseling Philosophy:
My goal is to combine solid counseling theory and practice with a faith-based approach to
life’s problems and do so in a professional, compassionate, and caring manner. I believe
this approach allows me to minister to the whole person and to meet my clients’ needs
regardless of their background or belief system.
I truly believe that “Life should be enjoyed, not endured.” and am dedicated to helping my
clients make the changes necessary to achieve the quality of life they want.
Other Helpful Information:
I schedule my own appointments and have both daytime and evening hours available. I offer
a reasonable sliding scale fee based on your specific financial situation. To schedule an
appointment or discuss any aspect of the counseling process, please call 314-630-5101 or
