Internship Program — Students

If your goal is to become a licensed professional counselor with a private practice, this opportunity may be right for you.  As interns at Creve Coeur Counseling, you will have the opportunity to learn hands-on what it takes to build, develop, and maintain a private practice.  In addition to honing your counseling skills and gaining more experience in face-to-face client counseling, you will be involved in all aspects of running a practice.  This will include marketing, advertising, business promotion and development, dealing with insurance companies, office tasks, and development of a professional style and personality.

You will receive one hour per week of face-to-face supervision, attend a monthly meeting with other counselors to observe case presentations, and have the opportunity to participate in group supervision.  On occasion you will have opportunities to co-facilitate groups led by LPC’s or LCSW’s. 

We prefer students who will make a commitment to work  two consecutive terms with us to provide continuity for the client and to allow the student to take full advantage of the experience.
